This position is an active member of BBNA’s Senior Management Team. Responsible for administration of comprehensive employment, training, and support services designed to promote self-sufficiency through employment. Includes Federal and State programs which provide cash assistance and supportive services such as; Bureau of Indian Affairs Job Placement and Training, Adult Education Tribal Scholarship for Higher Education, Welfare Assistance, Department of Labor Adult and Youth Services, Child Care Development Fund, Tribal Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, Native Employment Works, Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation and Low Income Heating Assistance (LIHEAP).

Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university preferably in a related field, with three years progressive experience at managerial level including extensive contract proposal, negotiating, management and reporting; program budgetary management experience and leadership of a team. Requires the ability to establish and promote effective professional and supervisory working relationships; sustain open communications with colleagues, regulatory and service agencies, and individuals from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated strong commitment to improving outcomes for individuals seeking to achieve self-sufficiency through employment. Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations independently with discretion. Excellent written and verbal communication and research skills. Familiarity with computer word processing and data base programs. Knowledge of the Bristol Bay region, culture, lifestyles, Tribal Governments, and rural Alaska service delivery. Willing and able to travel in and out of region.
