The TID Department supports sustainable and thriving member communities by maximizing economic returns on policies that promote transportation investments and emergency planning that bring lasting and equitable economic benefits to the citizens of the Bristol Bay Region. Under general supervision of the Department Director, this position performs management duties for planning and a variety of grants and projects. Work includes project development and oversight, analyzing data and research, development, review of planning documents and project plans, specifications, estimates, and other engineering documents.
Candidates must demonstrate their ability to accomplish the Essential Job Results.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Rural Development, Project Management or Engineering related field. Five years transportation design or construction management experience preferred. Work experience may substitute for education requirements. Must be goal oriented and able to work independently with little direct supervision; ability to track multiple tasks and provide follow-through to ensure timelines and funding requirements are met. Job requires enjoyment working with a wide range of people and backgrounds, and ability to demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills. A track record and strong desire of providing superior client service. Computer skills: MS programs, email/internet, and database programs. Familiarity with Bristol Bay area, people, cultures, and their economic needs. Project Management experience. Must be willing/able to travel occasionally in & out of region.
