This position serves in a staff capacity to BBNA’s executive level and is a member of the Association’s Senior Management Team. Directs and manages the activities of BBNA’s Transportation and Infrastructure Development Department, which includes Tribal Transportation Program (TPP) functions and related activities, the BBNA Transit Program, Transportation Safety, and Infrastructure Development program, Emergency Preparedness, and other projects under transportation and infrastructure development.

Bachelor’s degree in related field. Must have at least five years’ relevant experience, e.g. within the Tribal Transportation Program or Indian Reservation Roads program or in road construction management and oversight. Must have excellent computer, math, writing, and verbal communication skills. PREFERRED: Strong familiarity with the Tribal Transportation program, Infrastructure needs and programs, and particularly with the Road Inventory Field Data System (RIFDS). Familiarity with rural Alaska and the Bristol Bay area, people, and cultures. Must be willing to travel within and outside the region.
