Job Description
Open until filled.

Objective

Provides an array of direct client services to eligible residents of Bristol Bay, which promote employment, and help families become self-sufficient including outreach, needs assessments, supportive services, cash assistance, on the job training, and other activities.

Qualifications

Candidates must demonstrate their ability to accomplish the Essential Job Results stated in the detailed job description.  Please ask for a copy.

Requirements

License / Certification: Current valid Alaska Driver’s License and liability insurance.  Background clearance check including fingerprints.  A completed background check and determination that the applicant meets the eligibility criteria of the Alaska Barrier Crimes Act are prerequisites to hiring.  Education: Associate Degree in Human Services or High School/GED + two additional years of related experience.  Experience: Equivalent years providing direct client services in a related field may be considered at BBNA discretion.  Valuable experience includes: cash assistance, supportive services, continuous counseling, explaining client responsibilities, teaching of budgeting, interview and work-readiness skills, applying statutes, regulations, program requirements.  Computer skills: Keyboard, MS programs, e-mail/Internet.  Ability to learn/use case management database software program (TAS).  Travel: Willing/able to travel in and out of region to receive training and connect in-person with clients.  Familiarity with Bristol Bay area, people, and culture.  Complete achievement of certain of the above specifications may not be required if, in the opinion of BBNA, a particular candidate possesses significant offsetting characteristics, such as past accomplishments, experience, education, or estimate of future potential.
