Workforce Development Director

Provide direct client services to Alaska Native residents of Bristol Bay including eligibility determination, continuous case management, and helping clients get access to all services allowable under Federal and State regulations which support finding employment and becoming self sufficient.
Candidates must demonstrate their ability to accomplish the Essential Job Results stated below.
License/Certification: Background clearance check including fingerprints. Education/Experience: Prefer Associate Degree in Human Services. High School / GED + with at least two years of office experience. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member. Familiarity with Bristol Bay area, people, cultures. Knowledge of community and regional resources including education, and training scholarship and funding opportunities. Must be willing and able to travel in and out of region. Preferable experience: Case management or eligibility determination or other related work which involves working with students to meet higher education goals, building relationships with scholarship and funding agencies to provide opportunities for clients, doing intakes, assessments, continuous counseling, applying rules and regulations, program requirements or similar criteria or guidelines. Computer skills. Keyboard, MS programs, e-mail/internet. Ability to learn data entry program for case management.
