Electrical Workers Apprenticeship

The Electricians Apprenticeship Program accepts applications year round for Inside Wireman, Outside Power Lineman and Communication (Telephone) Workers. Request an application by calling our Fairbanks office at 800-479-4495.

To qualify, applicants must be 18 years of age or older, physically able to do the work and be drug free.

Applicants must submit a complete application and copies of:

  • Birth Certificate
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Official transcripts and/or GED test scores
  • Proof of Alaskan Residency for one year
  • DD 214 (veterens only)
Applicants must have at least one year of high school Algebra with passing grades

Additional documents are recommended:
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Training certificates
  • Resume
The lineman, wireman and communication worker apprenticeship programs are 4 year, 8000 hour programs that combine classroom and skill development work with on-the-job training for the highest quality vocational training.
If you are interested in starting a career in the construction industry,
