What is Head Start?
Head Start is a free, federally funded early childhood program for children, age three to five, and their families.  It is designed to help young children succeed in school and support families.  Head Start does this by looking at the whole child, considering the child as part of a family, who are their first teachers, and as a part of a community.  Head Start provides group and individual activities for young children that will help them learn, grow and succeed.
