Tribal TANF Program

Temporary Assistance to Needy Families is limited to 60 months of lifetime assistance per household. Our program is designed to help you make the most of the months you have and get you off assistance and on the road to self sufficiency.

The Tribal TANF office in Dillingham will determine eligibility. All BBNA TANF offices will be providing case management services for the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families Program for the Bristol Bay Region. BBNA will be providing Pass 1 (TANF) Child Care assistance and processing payments to providers.

To apply for Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, please use the State of Alaska Gen 50B combined application form. You may check off the boxes to apply for Food Stamps and Medicaid at the same time. BBNA will then forward the original application in to Public Assistance for you.

BBNA will only be determining eligibility and case management for Temporary Assistance to Needy Families program and Pass I (TANF) Child Care.

Clients must still apply to the Public Assistance office for Food Stamps, Medicaid, Denali Kid Care or Pass II or III (Post 12 months of TANF closure) Child Care.
